So i have had some problems with my 12TB WDC Duo drive i have setup in mirror. So i started getting I/O Errors on my drive and not sure what it was. I did every test WDC offers and everything comes back fine but i have a feeling something is going on.
I downloaded a program called StableBit Scanner and it is running now but it has found a few bad sectors and i will post my the logs once its done but at this point i have a few questions.
- How can i find out what drive is failing?
- How do i make sure that after i replace the bad drive the mirror works and my data is safe?
- Anyway to test both drives?
Having this in a raid might not be a good idea but i this point i think i might just take both drives out and test both and see whats going on. This unit is only 3 years old so for these RED drives to be failing that quick concerns me about WDC red drives…
