WD3200BEVT sata 2 to sata 1 with jumper problem

Hi,

I have a laptop, who support only sata 1 hard drives. I buyed WD 320 gb scorpio blue, sata2. I put a jumper, to limit sata 2 to sata 1, but theres no result. The disk works only on sata 2. Please help me, how can i limit the disk to sata 1 ? Ís there any software available ? Or how to turn off sata… i dont know… i haven’t options in bios for hard disks…

What OS do you plan to put on the hard drive?
