I am having a problem with a WD Caviar, WD2500JB, 250G HDD not being recognized by computer. Drive is from 2006, I’ve had it put aside as a spare. The computer does not recognized in the BIOS. I’ve tried everything that I can think of. Any ideas on what to do?
Is it possible that your Bios needs to be updated to read large size drives. The last major Bios limit was about 137 GB’s. It’s possible that you need to update the Bios in order for it to see the drive.
