I installed the subject drive in a Security DVR and overnight the DVR would loose communication with the DVR. I reconfigured and over night the same problem suspect its something with the drive. I see one suggestion to jumper pins 7 & 8. Any experiences out their.

Not sure what effect the drive will have on the DVR performance
jumper pins 7 & 8 will have the drive run at 1.5 Gb/s
