It looks like your WD2000FYYZ drive is being identified as “AMST105,” which indicates that there might be an issue with the drive’s firmware or hardware. Here are a few things you can do to troubleshoot and potentially fix the problem:

  1. It might seem silly to you but I would suggest you ensure that all the cables connecting the drive to your computer are properly connected and not loose. Sometimes loose connections can cause these issue
  2. Try connecting the drive to different ports on your computer or using different cables. This can help you rule out issues with specific ports or cables.
  3. Access your computer’s BIOS settings and make sure that the drive is recognized there. If it’s not, there may be a hardware issue with the drive itself.
  4. Check if there are any firmware updates available for your WD2000FYYZ drive. Sometimes updating the firmware can resolve compatibility issues and improve recognition.

Keep in mind that attempting to troubleshoot or repair the drive yourself could potentially void any warranty it may have, so proceed with caution, or the best would be to contact the support team after trying the above few steps
