I have on of these antique hard disks. Seems that it runs rather warm at 55C when used for video editing etc.
Mention of HDD temperature alone its a pointless feedback.
Passively cooled electronics they will heat up, +20C above the ambient at least.
Actively cooled HDD they will retain 10C above the ambient.
At hot climates its a must do, active HDD cooling plus one quality PC case with plenty of internal free space.
