WD10EARS on Win7, with virtual XP --> WD Align?

Hello.

I run Win7 and I have a WD10EARS drive as secondary (D:) drive.

I also have a virtual XP machine accessing this drive (through “shared folder” in Virtualbox).

In this case, should I use the WD Align utility?

P.S. to format my WD10EARS drive, I used the DataLifeguard 5.04f (dos version).

Did I made a mistake ?

Yeah, you should format the drive with Win 7, and then it will be good to go.
