WD10EARS bad sectors

Hi, i have recently bought WD10EARS.

It have some bad sectors, but Life Guard cant repare tham. What should i do ?

It is advisable to replace this drive, as the WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic couldn’t repair the bad sectors. This indicate that your drive can fail you at any moment.

The “SMART Status: FAIL” message is telling you that one or more of the drive’s critical SMART attributes has fallen below its threshold value. The usual reason is an excessive number of bad sectors. If so, then your drive doesn’t just have SOME bad sectors, it has MANY, probably 500 or more.

Try a comprehensive SMART diagnostic. Look for reallocated, pending, or uncorrectable sectors.
