WD1002FAEX and AAM

Hi.

I tried change AAM (Advanced Acoustic Management) on my WD1002FAEX but both of HDTune and HDDScan says that AAM is not supported. Is it my model issue? HDD is too noisy…

yeah, you’re not going to be able to do anything about that.  wd may not be able to help you, either.  these drives are spec’d at a particular max decibel, if the drive is under that, then it is what it is.  you could try to rma it and get another that may not be so loud.  you need to know that sound is very subjective.  what may be loud to you, may in fact be under their posted decibel spec.  so, your best bet is to RMA for another if you want to see if you can get a quieter drive.
