Is there a way to update the WD Unlocker VCD on the latest revision of the WD My Book drive. The WD Security software contains a file called WDUnlocker.bin which is technically an UDF ISO image with a .bin extension with the newest version of WD Unlocker. This file opens in PowerArchiver 2015 Preview. The drive itself has an older version of the Unlocker VCD which shows up after setting the password and then disconnecting and reconnecting the power.
Unfortunately the security unlocker is tied to actual hardware revisions rather than software updates. As such, this is not normally possible.
