WD TV Live unable to read certain avi and mkv files

My device reads a lot of avi and mkv files, but there are certain of these files it does not read.

These are files that work on a pc. I have noticed that it is the smaller mkv files that do not work i.e. < 4gb. As far as the avi is concerned, i havent noticed any real trend.

  1. Is there perhaps an update for this problem?

  2. Could you tell me where i could find the latest product for this update is.

We need more information.

For one, lease post the full TEXT output of MEDIAINFO for such a file.

Second, please tell is which media player (model #) you have, and what version of firmware it is currently running.  And do NOT say “The latest.”  Give the exact version.
