WD TV Live Streaming Wifi Connectivity Issues

After unplugging the power cord from the back of the WDTV Live Streaming I’m unable to connect to the  the Netcomm NB6Plus4Wn. I have tried resetting and restarting the WDTV Live a number of times but still cannot get a connection.

I plugged in my old Dynalink rta1025w and it worked without a hitch first go. I then plugged in the Netcomm NB6Plus4Wn with similar wireless settings but it failed to connect. I have tried everything I can possibly think of but cannot get the **bleep** thing to work.

I have no idea why it can no longer connect to the netcomm after the WD TV Live power cord was unplugged.

I am also running the latest firmware.

I just downgraded the firmware to 1.4.12 but still cannot get a connection.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

So I exchanged the WDTV Live Streaming for another one but still cannot get a connection.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

My only guess is that SOMETHING in the configuration of your WiFi router changed…

I mean, it’s connecting fine to your OTHER router, which shows that WiFi on the WD is working fine…

So, what is the issue?  Is it not seeing your Wireless Network?   Or, is it that it DOES see it, but cannot connect to it?

Thanks for the resposne. For some strange reason the new WDTV Live Streaming box has a weaker wifi signal. Signal strength is 0 bars whereas the returned box had 1 or 2 bars.

Anyways I connected the WDTV Live right next to the router and it showed  3 bars and connected straight away. I didn’t try this with the returned box, but I don’t think signal strength was an issue as it was showing 1 or 2 bars.

It’s a shame they didn’t include an antenna with this model.

Unpacked and went through auto configuration and got as far as connecting to network wirelessly.

Punched in password but did not authenticate.   Trying to connect to a NB9WMAXXn router. All other devices connect this way but no luck with the  WD TV Live. Would appreciate a solution as this is the reason why I bought this device…for its wireless connectivity !!!
