Hi,

This is a bit confuzing but…

Running Mac OSX 10.7.4

Have WD TV Live Box

I have downloaded SMBup and can see and play movies from a File on my desktop.

I also have a 1tb WD passport plugged into my Internet router and have added the files to the “Media Library”

But…

I want to add the File on my desktop to the “Media Library” as well so i dont have to change back and forward between the two.

I follow the steps “+Add network share to the Library” but when I select the Mac-WD live file i get the error message

“Unable to create Media library. The selected source is configued as Read-only which prevents th WD TV from Saving the Media Library”

I have double checked the Shared settings in system preferences, all users are set to read and write, I have clicked get info on the folder and it is set to all users read and write…

Am I missing something simple?

Thanks, Alucard.  I have the same issue as the original poster.  I attempted your solution, but it’s still a no-go.  Do you have any other thoughts?
