Unit has been working great for years, but all of a sudden I am getting a pixelation on my screen. Looks like snow, like what you’d get on an old-style tv set that can’t quite get the channel to come in. Thought it was a bad hdmi cable, but switched out the cable and it’s still doing the same. As I watch my program, the pixelation will get almost to the point of not being noticeable, but then will get worse again. Keeps cycling like this, but never completely disappears. Is my unit dying? Should I try a factory reset?
If it does it on another TV, then yeah, it’s on its way out.
Discovered that it was not the WDTV. Hooked up another WD box that I have and it did the pixelation as well. Must be my receiver that I just got repaired. Strange that it pixelates for the WD boxes, but not for my satellite receiver. They did replace the hdmi board, so I think something isn’t working right with it, even though it did work for a few days initially.
