WD TV live as media server?

Dear all,

I have a network with the WD TV Live and a DLNA/uPNP stereo device (Philips Streamium mci8080). I have connected an external HDD to the WD-device. I wonder; is it possible to access the external HDD (attached to the WD) from my stereo? Because up to now the WD-device does not show up in the list of mediasources on my stereo device.

It seems that the WD does not work as a media-server?

Only the Hub can do it, not the Live SMP.

Okay, thx for the info Tony. Quite a pity… would be nice to use it as  mediaserver for my music also…
