SOLVED (…for my particular issue, at least)
WD Sync was not syncing my selected folders properly, it was missed a few folders and files and also took a long time to complete a sync run.
What discovered was that WD Sync cannot function properly when the local folders/files are already syncing with another service. For me, i was trying to sync folders in my OneDrive folder as a “double backup”. This causes problems presumably because those same files were earmarked by OneDrive.
Incidentally, WD Sync app does in fact sync in both directions.
