The driver shows up in the device manager but no where else.

Windows 7 connected eSATA

Try another cable USB or firewire if possible

is this the first time you use the drive?

Is the drive powering on?

Try shutting down the computer and the My Book Studio.  Turn the My Book Studio back then the computer.  If still not detected try updating the drivers for the eSATA controller.
