Hello from Sweden!
When i tried to use an older WD Elements 500GB Go (S/N:WXC1AC57S1TD) for the first time i did not get access. On the package it says “30-day trial backup software included”, my clue was this software but i can’t find it. I did find a solution for access to the drive by signing “WD SmartWare Pro” trial, but what happens when the trial ends? Concerning the WD SmartWare Pro is no longer available to purchase, will the drive turn locked? The drive is formatted FAT32 and that works fine with my Android phone, good with that but what is to expect when the trial ends and is there any options?
