WD Smartware Not Finding My Drive

Hi there all,

For some reason, now and again my WD Smartware program will not detect my WD Personal Cloud.

Now it doesn’t see it at all.

I have reset the drive, uninstalled and re-installed all the software, but it still wont see the drive.

I can manually send files there via its Ethernet connection, but just the WD software wont work.

Please help.

Try a different backup software like Windows File Backup and see if that works or not.
Could just be a Windows Samba issue.

I tried this option, but my pc found no usable drives.

I dont understand why this is the case?
