I have this storage solution that has a large number of pictures organized in folders.
The pictures are very high resolution, and some of the folders have a hundreds of them.
The preview mode of this pictures is done by windows explorer in thumbnails view.
When the users opens the folder he must wait a longer period of time (sometimes 1 min.) to show the preview of this pictures.
This waiting problem is resolved with thumbs.db file.
*BUT!*
Thumbs.db won’t create on WD.
On local computer, same folder, with same pictures thumbs.db is created.
On remote server, same folder, with same pictures thumbs.db is created.
On WD ShareSpace,same folder, with same pictures thumbs.db IS NOT created.
WD is in NTFS format.
So ONLY on WD this file cannot be created.
What could be the issue?
