WD Security not picking up either drive

Hi,

I’ve just installed WD security, utilities and backup on my windows 10 pc.
I have 2 x 4 tb drives.

The software is not picking up either.
WD Elements 25A3
WD Elements 25A1 (usb powered)

What am I doing wrong?
Surely these drives that are quite new should be working with WD utilities.

Drive Utilities and Security don’t support WD Elements. Backup should work, though…

Is there anyway of password protecting the drives?

Not using hardware encryption, no. But there are numerous software-based encryption tools that will format at the volume level. It’s been ages since I’ve used any, so I am not able to recommend anything particular…
