i just purchased wd my passport ultra 2TB .i want to know when i lock my HDD with WD security then it says if u attempt 5 invalid passwords then u can erase your data to get back…so other person on other pc or laptop can erase my HDD ???
Hi, Yes someone who doesn’t know the password will be given the prompt to erase the drive if the password was put in incorrectly 5 times, this is a security measure for your files not fall in the wrong hands.
