Good Evening, I’m looking for disks for 2 drive for disk array (RAID 0) I am thinking of WD RE4 500 GB WD5003ABYX and WD5003AZEX which one would be better ? Transfers and access time are the most important factors
The WD Black WD5003AZEX, has a SATA 3 (6.0 Gb/s), interface and the RE4 WD5003ABYX has a SATA 2 (3.0 Gb/s) interface, in case you have a motherboard that can take advantage of SATA 3 speeds. If you would like to update your RAID in the future, WD Black drives are not recommended for RAID configurations of more that 2 drives. For more information check the link below.
