I have two network drives, Mycloud 4 and 8 GB capacity. I use Quick View to open drives in file explorer. The 4 GB opens with no problem but the 8 GB takes about 10 times to finally open. Dashboard option opens with the first time so I know I am communicating through the router to the network drive.
You can also access your 8TB My Cloud from files.mycloud.com, which would be faster to access My Cloud data. Also you can do Power Cycle of My Cloud 8 TB and map drive again, this may refresh the network links or communications to improve its performance.
I compared the two network drives under settings and it turned out the drive I could not access through wd quick access had a different set up. Changed to the setup for the network drive I could access and the problem was gone. Do not understand why there was a change.
