I have a 2TB WD Passport Portable Drive for my Mac OS currently running on Catalina 10.15.2. Password protected. Bought it about 2 years ago, somewhere in mid-2018.
Months later, I’ve forgotten my password and I’m prepared to lose all data by formatting the drive.
While I’m connecting the WD Passport to my Mac, This is what my WD Security looks like :
This is what my WD Drive Utilities looks like when I’m trying to erase it, and it stuck there for hours :
The Passport does not appear on my Disk Utility even though I had the option checked to show the external drive.
I couldn’t remove the password and I couldn’t format the drive. I’m stuck for over a year now.
Any advice would help.
