WD passport stops working

Hi i have a 1 tera blue color WD my passport and it stops working, whenever i connects it to my netbook it always says parameter is incorrect… what should i do? Pls help me, i have important files stored in it…

Try using another USB cable and another computer if possible just as a troubleshooting step.
