WD Passport 4tb recovery programs / hex editor sees all zeros after quickformat

I have a WD Pass 4TB.
Started a quickformat on it as a mistake. Interrupted it by unplugging the drive. (panic mode on)
When the device was unaccessible (RAW) performed and finished a quick format.
Ever since none of the recovery programs finds any data on it (except volume level information, recycle bin ect)
checked with a hex editor. can see only all zeros.
Nothing happened except the scanning of the recovery tools.
I found a 2tb partition on it and some tools reported overlapping partitions.
Is there any chance that the built in encryption of the device itself result these unexpected results?
Any idea how to get my cca. 2.5 tb of data back?
