WD Passport 1T not working

I can see from many messages that this Drive (Passport)  has a one too may issues.   Tried it with my IT department

on some PC recognizes drive letter but no data and can not writen to it.   On some does not recognize drive at all.

Tried to format and does not recognize device even doe the letter is for the drive is present.  Uninstalled divice from list (Win XP) reinstalled and still the same thing…     Unit was purchased 2 months ago…  What next?     Replacement?

Check disk utility to see if the drive is showing 

try to format if you don’t mind losing data…

If you mind… don’t do it :stuck_out_tongue:

you will need a data recovery software to recover the files
