I wish to buy a new WD network storage. My requirement as follows;

  1. Need to set static IP and the dashboard should be accessible through IP.
  2. Possible to create “shared folder” and it should allow setting different permissions for each user.

I tried WD My cloud home, in which I can not set static IP, and cannot create different permission (read/write/full) for each user.

As far as WD’s NASes and “personal cloud” products go, everything OTHER than the My Cloud Home will do it.
