I have Road Runner Lighting 60. Via Ethernet, speed tests are consistently 60 - 70 Mb/s ( http://speedtest.bhn.net/)..)
Via wireless, I’m getting 10 - 15 MB/s on w Windows 8 laptop, Windows 7 laptop, and iPhone.
From my laptop, the router is downstairs in our guess bedroom, but less than 25 feet away, through one wall and floor. From my wife’s office on the first floor, maybe 30 feet and through two walls.
Router wireless settings for 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz are factory defaults:
- Security: WPA2 Personal
- Network Mode: Mixed (b + g + n)
- Channel Width: Auto
- Channel: Auto
- SSID Broadcast: ON
- WMM QoS: OFF (Not needed. Very little, high volume downloads, none that cause speed issues)
- Guess Access: OFF (Also, not really needed. I can turn it on if so).
It looks like my firmware version, 1.04.16 12/14/2012 is the latest per the control panel and http://www.wdc.com/wdproducts/updates/?family=wdfmynetn600.
Anything I can do here to try to fix the issue?
Any other settings or ideas?
