I recently upgraded my ISP and placed a lot of the equipment in the garage (including ISP equipment and Ethernet switch) and I would like to know if running the MyCloud (2TB https://support-en.wd.com/app/products/product-detail/p/126) in the garage would be an issue. I live in NY about 40 miles north of NYC so we do get 4 seasons and it can get cold in the garage sometimes below 32 degrees.
The daily use acceptable operating temperatures of the WD Red HDD inside the WD My Cloud is between 0°C ~ 60 °C (32 ~ 140 F)
The Min and Max Temps are Extremes that you wouldn’t want to be running close to the edge of, or higher, or lower than those figures for any great length of time if you don’t want the My Cloud to have a short operating lifespan.
