WD My Passsport - Factory reset - Rebuild partitions -

Hello,

I made the mistake of applying a “clean all” using the “diskpart” tool in Windows, to my 2TB My Passport disk.

I’m not interested in retrieving the information it contained.

I want to know if there is any way to leave the disk in the same state as when it is new.

I could see that there were several partitions (many not visible, associated with different types of file association, such as FAT16, FAT32, etc).

Is there any tool or procedure provided by WD to restore my disk as new?

You can try reformatting the drive from the link given below by deleting the each partition volume created on your drive.

Othwerwise, you can use WD Drive Utilities to erase the disk into desired file format.
