First time, I plug in the HDD and it works, then i unplugged the HDD. I found the HDD still appears on Device and Printers, Second time, I plugged in again, WIN7 says the USB not recognized. I opened the Disk management, and saw the device was “unknown”, it told me to format but i don’t. Because theres stuffs inside. Pls help…
Hi PC_Cheah. Have you tried the drive on another computer or tried a different USB cable? Make sure that the cable is less than 12-inch long to prevent any power issues. Also, make sure that you are connecting the drive directly to the computers USB port and not into another device or USB hub. sometimes connecting through a hub or other device can cause problems.
