WD my passport 500 not recognized at all

I have a WD my passport 500gb. All of a sudden it stopped being recognized by any computer. I tried two different cables. When i plug it, the LED lights up, and the disc starts spinning with no weird sounds. But the computer wont read it at all, not as a usb device, not as a faulty usb device, and definitely not as a hdd.

How long are the cables?  They can’t be more than 18 inches or you won’t get enough power to the drive.
