If i am going to use a program like Acronis will i have the same results?

Why did you “erase” everything from the disk? What “unbrick” methods are you trying to use?
Have you tried using Fox_Exe’s method for unbricking a first gen single bay v4.x My Cloud hard drive?

Maybe the best way: buy a proper NAS were you can change the harddsik (e.g. Synology or qnap), put the hd out of the My Cloud and put it into the new NAS.
Hi Bennor, I am trying to unbrick My Cloud 8TB single bay NAS and I couldn’t download the
anymore from the Google drive link you shared, could you reupload it for me?
I tried all sort of method to unbrick it without succeed and I am going to use this method as the last resort before I repurpose the hard disk.
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Han
Someone has mirrored the files used to unbrick the single bay My Cloud devices.

Make sure to confirm which single bay My Cloud version one has as the unbrick directions and files are different for each version.
First Gen: P/N: WDBCTLxxxxxxx- 00 , FW 04.xx.xx
Second Gen: P/N: WDBCTLxxxxxxx- 10 , FW 02.xx.xx/FW05.xx.xx
I’m confused. I have a My Cloud “WDBCTL0040HWT-00” with a single hard drive. These directions seem to have you set up a raid. Is my interpretation correct? If so, are these instructions correct for a My Cloud with a single hard drive?
Yes for the single bay one is creating a RAID setup with two of the small partitions one creates. The firmware/operating system uses that small RAID.
Another place for the unbrick directions for a first generation single bay My Cloud:
