Hi, my name is tony and i have a WD My book 2TB

When i try to copy something it says :

Could not find this item.

This is no longer located in computer. Verify the item’s location and try again

My Book

Space free : 1.23 TB

Total size : 1.81 TB

Yesterday it was reading with 3 mb… and i reinstalled his apps and now is reading with 25 mb…

Please, HELP.

Does this happen with multiple files or just one folder?

Can you try creating a folder on the drive and see if it gives you an error message?

I can create folders, and today i see i can’t delete a folder from the driver it says : You can’t delete the folder. The folder is not empty.

and a folder can be deleted  a folder no… i have 15 folders… 7 can be deleted , but 8 can’t be.

This sounds like corrupted files.

Backup as much data as possible and reformat the drive.

After that run a test with Data Lifeguard Diagnostics.
