WD My Book 4 TB USB 3.0 Hard Drive with Backup

Can I take the disk inside this My Book (WDBFJK0040HBK-NESN) and use it as an internal disk connected through SATA in a Windows 7 OS?

You may attempt to try this, but we cannot guarantee that this is going to work correctly or not, This will also void the warranty on the the My Book unit. 

Hopefully a more experienced user can help you out more on this matter .
