I’m using a Macbook Pro 2.7GHz Core i7 running OS X 10.7.5. My WD external USB HDD 2TB keeps ejecting itself after being plugged in for only a few minutes. Has anyone else had this issue before? Anyone find a solution to it? Would greatly appreciate any advice, it’s only about 2-3 months old.

Are you able to test the drive on a different computer?
Check the physical connections and try with a different cable.

having the same problem:
Tried different cables. Even noticed the disk gets ejected when using it as en USB disk on a TimeCapsule. Don’t know what custom OS is running on it, but definitely no OS X Maverick. That disqualifies Maverick as problem.
So, WD, any suggestions?
