WD HD 1TB locked - password lost

Hello everyone, I am writing from Italy

I have a 1Tb HD WD with data inside. This HD was locked with a password chosen by my dad who unfortunately died in December.

Today I find myself having to enter this HD but unfortunately I do not remember the password and my dad has not written it anywhere!

Is there a way to recover this password, reset it, enter somehow without obviously losing data in the HD?

What a situation… But yes, I would also contact the support service, I’m sure they can help save the data!

mi dispiace per la tua perdita. Purtroppo se il dispositivo e’ stato protetto utilizzando WD Security, la password e’ salvata localmente e non c’e’ modo di accedervi e/o recuperare i dati.
