WD External HD Coming up as RAW after CHKDSK

Hi,

I have a serious problem. My Hard Drive was not coming up this morning so I decided to do a CHKDSK on it. It read the disk and on reaching 10% it started deleting orphaned files and it gave a message that the drive is RAW.

When I tried running chkdsk again, it says n RAW file format.

I tried using testdsk but it is taking forever. PLEASE HELP ME!

Sorry to be the person with bad news, but if the file system is raw you will need to format your drive in order to make the unit operational again.
