WD External Hard Drive version of server not supported

Hi when trying connect my Hard Drive via ethernet to my i mac i recieve the following message

“The version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported” 

Any ideas?

What hard drive model do you have? If you are trying to connect a USB drive to a router to share it over the network, I recommend you to check the router manual.
