WD Essential 2TB disk not loading drives

My 2TB Essentials drive no longer works in its case.  

I have removed it from the case and it spins up OK.  I have successfully run the WD Quick and Extended tests against it.  The computer recognises the disk but does not load any drives in Windows.  Since used to have to type a password to see my data drive, I assume the USB/SATA bridge also does encryption?  And I assume this USB/SATA bridge is dead.

So am I connect the disk to the USB/SATA bridge from a different Essentials enclosure in order to access the data?

I’d recommend contacting a specialized data recovery service. Replacing the enclosure does not guarantee disk access.
