My WD Elements SE drive works perfectly when connect to a pc. But when connected to my WD TV Live Media player it cannot be accessed. The led on the drive is on but doesn’t blink. I have older WD drives (and by older I mean 1-2 years) and they work perfectly. I purchased this drive October 2018 and it has had this problem right out of the box when connected to the WD Live box. The only way I got the drive to work was to use a powered usb hub connected to the WD Live box. I guess what I’d like to know is what is different with these latest Element drives over the My Passport drives, other than the very noticible difference in the weight between the two.
