WD Elements 1TB not working with USB 3.0 Port but working with 2.0

Hi,

I have a WD Elements 1TB USB 3.0 drive. It has a weird problem that it gets detected in USB 2.0 port but doesnt get detected in 3.0 port. When plugged into 3.0 port, the LED blinks for a while and then becomes steady, no vibration after that. The drive is not detected in device manager as well. I have tried several different computers / laptops of my friends and same problem persists in USB 3.0. I tried looking for firmware of the drive, but it seems the updater does not support this drive. It works perfectly fine in USB 2.0 ports.

last thing to try is using different USB 3.0 cable

I have the same problem - and know of others with this also. (With also trying a different cable, yes) Did you ever get a response from WD on this?
