Wd elements 1 tb actual capacity

Hi i recently bought a 1tb external hard disk but it says that the original capacity is only 931gb which is almost 100gb less… Can you please let me know what is the real capacity of the hard disk and is there any way to increase the capacity of the hard disk… Thanks in advance.

1TB Decimal = 931GB Binary. Both numbers are correct, but your Operating System will show you eiher number depending on how it counts bits and bytes.
