WD Drive Utility for Mac-No option to rebuild Replacement drive?

Have a WD My Book Duo with two 4TB drives set up in Raid 1 config. Drive 1 failed so I ordered exact replacement drive but when installed it is not recognized (shows up as empty) as it has not yet been formatted to HFS+J for Mac. I see that on the MS Windows version when the drive is installed there is a pop up which says “Rebuild Drive”… Nothing like that on the mac as it is not recognized due to not being formatted yet. So How Do I format the drive if it is not showing up??? No Option appears on the WD Drive Utility to Format the drive as it simply does not show up?

There should be an option in WD Drive Utility to Rebuild RAID 1. If you don’t see that option try to download the latest WD Utility from WD Support website. As a remind, only use USB connection and not the Thunderbolt or USB Type-C connection.
