WD Drive Utilities crashes on start

Just got a new My Book Duo 8T and want to connect to my iMac Sierra 10.12.4. The software on disk suggested to update to the latest version 2.0.5.18. Since then is cashes on start.

Try WD Discovery version of WD Drive Utilities for macOS.
It was released with My Passport SSD

I also have the same problem with WD Drive Utility crashing as soon as you open it with 10.12.4. I tried WD Discovery but this did not fix anything!
