This is a forum for ideas I think WD should stop making HD since they have not idea what their doing. I was tricked into buying the first one that died after afew months losing all the info thank god i had it backed up to another drive. Then I did the dumbest thing ever and bought a esata my book. Thanks wd for letting me spend countless hours trying to get it to show up again. You will never have me or any friend as a customer again. I will learn binary code and right out my data buy hand before I will buy another of your product Sincerely your favorite customer never again. I hope you post this so everyone can see what junk you make…
I have a different expirience… I have a my book essential 1TB drive working perfect ! remember you call WD and replace the defective drive if is still under warranty
