WD Drive Manager Service causes massive lag in video games

Hello

I have a WD My Cloud and have experienced lag in video games (including league of legends, dota 2 and other online multiplayer video games) since adding the drive to our setup. I am connected via ethernet to the router and have eliminated other causes of the issue including reinstalling the game and tested with another computer to be completely sure.

I have singled out the WD Drive Manager service as the root cause of the lag i have been experiencing. Disabling it instantly fixes the issue. However it also means my drive is undiscoverable (and essentially useless). Does anyone know the steps to fix this issue?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling it?

I am having the same issue - i am getting occasional network lag after installing the WD Personal Cloud Device/Software. Why would you think uninstalling / reinstalling would fix anything? Provide a clear reason why.
