WD Dashboard Run Errors

I have a 480GB Sandisk on a Windows 7 2006 laptop. I want to fully wipe the SSD before disposing of the PC. I downloaded WD Dashboard but on start up I get a window:

“Failed to creat OpenGL context for format QSurface…lots of gobbledygook”.

“This is most likely caused by not having the necessary graphics driver installed”

“Install a driver providing OpenGL 2.0 or higher, or, if this is not possible, make sure the ANGLE Open GL ES 2.0 emulation libraries (libEGL.dll, libGLESv2.dll and d3dcompiler_*.dll) are available in the application’s executable directory or in a location listed in PATH.”
I have downloaded d3d…47.dll, the other 2 are already in the WD Dashboard directory on the C drive. But I get the same message.
So, what do I need to do please?? So I can wipe the SSD.

Are you going to use the SSD in another PC? Why not just format it or delete the partitions. If you just want to toss the SSD just destroy it with a hammer.
